Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Around 2,000 American Positions – Update
Paramount Skydance plans to begin significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August worth $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are expected, with the company planning to reveal complete information via its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Previous updates stated the firm aimed to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
By December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond regarding the report.
